Bau Town today is different compared to 10-15 years ago, once a sleepy town but now a full of life. New commercial building, government buildings, signages and what not.

For nightlife spots, other outlets such as the Highway Bistro & Lounge Bau, The heritage Wind cave beside the Pub Street at Lobuh. Pub street is located at the centre of Bau Town. Perhaps in the near future, Bau could eventually brand itself as the Gateway to Sarawak Adventure & Culture, especially when it is located inside the Geo Park map.

Coming to Bau is not a stopover, but a destination in itself. For tourists outside Sarawak, you can download yourself from the airplane and go straight to Bau to have some nice day outing as well as night time outing as the distance from Kuching city is about less than an hour drive, perhaps about 30 minutes’ drive at night.
